Mobile Playback Precautions
When viewing content through the Kollus Player on mobile devices (smartphones and tablets), playback may be restricted due to device settings or security policies. Check the solutions below for smooth playback.
App and browser settings
In-app browser usage restrictions
- Cause and symptom: Using an in-app browser inside apps such as Naver, KakaoTalk, or Instagram may block player playback.
- Solution: Access the content again using the default recommended browser for your operating system.

Tablet browser's 'Desktop Site' mode malfunction
- Cause and symptom: On tablets (especially Galaxy Tab), after a browser update the 'Desktop mode (PC version)' may be set as default, preventing the player from launching.
- Solution: Disable the 'Desktop site' option in your browser settings and refresh the page to load the mobile version.
Security policy and conflicts with other apps
Conflicts with screen capture/recording apps
- Cause and symptom: If a program with 'Display over other apps' permission — such as a screen recorder, blue light filter, or messenger floating widget — is running in the background, playback will be blocked.
- Solution: Completely close the app running in the background, then try playback again.
Samsung DeX mode restriction
- Cause and symptom: Due to content leak prevention policy, the player does not run in DeX mode.
- Solution: Exit Samsung DeX mode and watch on the mobile screen.
Jailbroken and rooted device restrictions
- Cause and symptom: For security reasons, the player will terminate immediately upon launch on jailbroken or rooted devices.
- Solution: Reset the device operating system to its original (default) state before watching.
Device performance and network environment
Unstable network signal
- Cause and symptom: Weak Wi-Fi or cellular (LTE/5G) signal strength may cause buffering, degraded video quality, and stuttering.
- Solution
- Watch in a location with a stable network signal.
- If you frequently watch content while moving, we recommend using Kollus's mobile download feature to download content in advance and watch it offline.
Insufficient device memory
- Cause and symptom: If too many apps are running simultaneously, the player may slow down or be forcibly terminated during playback.
- Solution: Clear all unnecessary background apps, or restart your smartphone to free up resources.
Buffering at high playback speed
- Cause and symptom: On low-spec devices, stuttering may occur when playing at a high playback speed (e.g., 2x or higher).
- Solution: Ensure at least 5GB of free internal storage space on your device.
Playback error due to device power-saving mode
- Cause and symptom: If the player is left paused for an extended period, the mobile device's power-saving mode may activate, causing an error when resuming playback.
- Solution: We recommend setting the screen auto-lock and power-saving mode entry time to 1 hour or more in your mobile device settings.
