Video Download Errors

Notice

This document is a machine-translated draft and is currently undergoing review. Some content may be inaccurate or differ from the original Korean version. For the most precise information, refer to the Korean documentation.

This guide covers how to resolve download interruptions, storage path issues, cache problems, and permission-related errors that may occur when downloading videos with Kollus Player.

Download interrupted due to insufficient storage

Windows

If the disk has insufficient free space, the download may not start or may be interrupted midway.

  1. Press [Windows]+[R] on your keyboard to open the Run dialog, type 'cleanmgr', and press [Enter].
  2. Run Disk Cleanup to free up at least 5 GB of space.
  3. After disk cleanup is complete, try the download again.

iOS

On iOS, the operating system automatically deletes temporary files when storage space is low. This may cause downloaded content to be lost, so make sure to free up enough storage space before re-downloading the content.

Change the download path

You can change the download file storage location via the Kollus Player icon in the taskbar tray.

  1. Right-click the Kollus Player icon in the system tray at the bottom right of the screen.
  2. Select the [Change Download Location] menu.
  3. Create a new folder or specify your desired folder. (It is recommended to use a local drive (C:) as the download path.)
Note when specifying an external drive

If you set the download path to an external drive, errors or file corruption on the drive itself may prevent videos from loading. This issue may persist even after updating or reinstalling Kollus Player. Therefore, it is recommended to use a local drive (C:) as the download path.

Delete cache files

If accumulated cache files cause playback errors, you can delete them using the methods below.

Chrome v45 or later, Edge

  • Method A (System tray): Right-click the Kollus Player icon in the system tray at the bottom right of the screen, then select [Clear Cache].
  • Method B (File Explorer): Fully close the player, then navigate to [My Documents] > [KollusPlayer3] > [Files] in File Explorer and delete any files whose names end with '_c'.

Firefox, opera, Safari

  1. Click the settings menu in the Kollus Player app.
  2. Click the trash icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Click the trash icon under the [Cache Setting] item to delete the cache.

Mobile device storage permission settings

If a permission popup related to the storage location appears when playing content on a mobile device, allow the Kollus Player app permissions as described below.

  1. Go to [Settings] > [Applications] > [Kollus Player] > [Permissions] on your device.
  2. Set the [Storage] and [Modify System Settings] permissions to [Allow].
  3. After completing the settings, retry in the Chrome browser.

Additional download notes

  • No duplicate downloads: Already downloaded files are automatically reused and support resuming. Re-downloading the same content will not create duplicate files.
  • Downloaded files cannot be moved: Downloaded content can only be viewed from the designated storage location. To view it on another device, you must download it again on that device. Access restrictions and the number of available devices are subject to the content provider's policy.
