This document explains how to configure PRISM Live Studio for integration with the Kollus Live service.

Basic Live Streaming Settings​

Checking Live Streaming Information​

In the Kollus Live console, check the streaming address and stream key information required for live streaming.

  • Streaming address: Kollus Live console > [Channel] > [Channel list] > Select channel > [application link]
  • Stream key: Kollus Live console > [Channel] > [Channel list] > [Edit] on the right side of the target channel > [Creator code] tab at the bottom > [Creator stream key]

PRISM Live Studio Program Settings​

Enter the above information in the PRISM Live Studio program settings window.

Settings to Prevent Screen Pixelation​

Screen pixelation may occur when streaming content that includes presentation materials such as handwriting or PPT slides, or when streaming video with lighting changes or fast motion. To maintain stable video quality, change the settings in PRISM Live Studio as described below.

Keyframe Interval Settings​

If the keyframe interval is too long, video quality recovery during scene transitions may be slow. Therefore, the following settings are recommended.

  • Settings path: Top left [Menu (☰)] > [Settings] > [Output] > Set [Output Mode] to [Advanced] > [Broadcast] tab > [Encoding settings] > [Keyframe interval]

Standard FPS Value Settings​

If the frame rate is too high, screen pixelation may occur due to insufficient bandwidth. 30 FPS is appropriate for general lectures or broadcasts.

Service Bitrate Settings​

To prevent video quality degradation in the final service, the original streaming bitrate must be kept higher than the Kollus encoding settings. It is recommended to set the PRISM Live Studio streaming settings to a bitrate higher than the maximum bitrate of the Kollus encoding profile.

Step 1: Check the Bitrate​

In the Kollus Live console > [Settings] > [Encoding profile], check the maximum bitrate value of the profile in use.

Step 2: Set the Bitrate in PRISM Live Studio​

  • Settings path: Top left [Menu (☰)] > [Settings] > [Output] > Set [Output Mode] to [Advanced] > [Broadcast] tab > [Encoding settings] > [Bitrate]
  • Setting value: Enter a value higher than the maximum bitrate of the Kollus encoding profile confirmed in Step 1.
