Console upload is a method that allows you to easily upload content through a cloud-based web console without installing any additional software.

Step 1: access the Kollus VOD console

After logging in to the Kollus VOD console, click [Content upload] in the upper right corner of the [Library] menu screen.

Step 2: configure upload options and upload files

When the upload window opens, configure the options according to the guide below and select your files.

Prerequisites

It is more efficient to set up the categories for organizing content in advance. Refer to the document below to create categories.

  1. Select the upload options (AI Subtitle / AI Summary / AI Speed / Encryption / Upload as audio).

    Option Activation
    • Option activation: If you need to activate an option, contact your Account Manager(biz@catenoid.net).
    • Automatic option application via FTP: The upload option preset feature is not supported for console uploads. However, when uploading via FTP, using the dedicated folder assigned to each option will automatically apply the corresponding settings to the file.
  2. Select the upload category where the content will be registered.
  3. Drag and drop files into the upload area or click [Select file].
    • Emoji restriction: Files cannot be uploaded if the file name contains emojis.
    • Supported file extensions: Only the following extensions can be uploaded. Files with unsupported extensions may be excluded from the upload list or fail to upload.
      • Video: .3gp, .asf, .avi, .dv, .flv, .webm, .m4v, .mov, .mp4, .mpeg, .mpg, .wmv, .3g2, .3gpp, .f4v, .m2v, .ogm, .ogv, .wm
      • Audio: .aac, .flac, .m4a, .mp3, .ogg, .wav, .amr, .wma
    • Maximum upload count: You can select up to 20 files at a time. To upload 21 or more files, use Kollus Uploader.
  4. After selecting files, check the upload progress status at the bottom.

Step 3: monitor upload status

Click [Collapse] at the bottom of the upload window to check the real-time status through the status window in the lower right corner.

  • Multitasking support: Even when navigating to other menus in the console, you can check the upload progress through the status window at the bottom.
  • Browser tab notification: The progress is displayed in the tab title of the currently active web browser.

Step 4: monitor transcoding status

Content that has finished uploading is immediately registered in the library list and automatically enters the transcoding stage according to the configured encoding profile.

How to check transcoding progress

  • Percentage (%) displayed on the poster image of the corresponding content in the library list
  • Status window in the lower right corner

Response guide when transcoding errors occur
