Kollus VOD supports the ability for customers to securely download original files stored in the system for management purposes, or transcoded files converted for each playback environment, to a local PC.
- Feature activation: The download feature is disabled by default. When disabled, the download button will not appear in the Kollus VOD console. To activate this feature, contact your Account Manager(biz@catenoid.net) or Technical Support(tech_support@catenoid.net).
- Permission management: Even when the feature is activated, the download button will not be displayed for accounts without download permissions.
Downloadable file types
You can select from the following two types of files to download depending on your management purpose and required specifications.

Download methods
Kollus VOD provides two download methods depending on your operating environment.

original file download
Prerequisites
To download original files, the following two prerequisites must be met in the system.
- Content download feature activation
- Configuration path: Contact Account Manager(biz@catenoid.net) or Technical Support(tech_support@catenoid.net)
- Original file saving feature activation
- Configuration path: Kollus VOD console > [Settings] > [Save original files]
- Note: This setting applies only to content uploaded after the setting has been saved. Videos uploaded prior to this setting will have their original data discarded and cannot be downloaded.
Download procedure
- In Kollus VOD console > [Library], click the title of the content you want to download.
- Click the download icon to the right of [Original file] in the [Overview] tab.
Transcoded file download
Use this to individually download the output that has been converted to a specific quality (PC, mobile, etc.).
