Kollus VOD supports a feature that allows customers to securely download, to their local PC, either the original files stored in the system for management purposes or the transcoding files converted for each playback environment.
Files available for download
Files are divided into original files and transcoding files depending on the management purpose and required specifications.

Download methods
Kollus VOD provides two download methods, console and API, depending on the operating environment.

We provide an API to issue a temporary download URL for original files and quality-specific transcoding files. For detailed integration instructions, refer to the API reference below.
Download original files
- Enable feature: Enable this feature by setting [Save original file] in the [Settings] > [Save original files] menu of the Kollus VOD console.
- Not applied retroactively: This setting takes effect only for content uploaded after the setting is saved. Videos uploaded before the setting was applied cannot be downloaded because their original data has been discarded.
- In the Kollus VOD console, click the title of the content you want to download from the [Library] menu.
- Click the download icon to the right of [Original file name] in the [Overview] tab.
Download transcoding files
- PlanEnterprise
- Enable feature: The download feature is disabled by default. While disabled, the download button does not appear in the Kollus VOD console. To enable this feature, please contact Technical Support(tech_support@kollus.com) or your Account Manager.
- Permission management: Even when the feature is enabled, the download button will not appear for accounts without download permissions.
- In the Kollus VOD console, click the title of the content you want to download from the [Library] menu.
- Click the download icon to the right of the target item in the [Transcoding] tab.
