Poster is the representative image displayed on the player screen before the video plays. Kollus VOD provides three configuration methods to display the most suitable image considering the nature of the content and operational efficiency.

Auto capture​

This method has the system automatically capture a predetermined point in time and designate it as the poster simultaneously with content upload. It operates as the default policy for the entire service account, not for individual content.

Application Timing

The auto capture setting is applied to content newly uploaded after the setting is completed. (not applied retroactively to existing content)

  1. Navigate to Kollus VOD console > [Settings] > [Poster].
  2. Check [Use manual settings].
  3. Enter each item and click [Save].

Manual capture​

A customer administrator can capture a specific point in the video directly through the preview player in the Kollus VOD console and designate it as the poster. This setting must be applied individually for each content.

  1. Click the title of the content whose poster you want to change in the Kollus VOD console > [Library] menu.
  2. Play the preview player in the [Overview] tab.
  3. Pause the video at the scene you want to designate as the poster.
  4. Click [Settings (gear icon)] at the bottom of the player.
  5. Click [Poster (photo icon)] in the settings window.
  6. Click [Capture frame] then [Set as Poster] in order.
Tip

You can set the poster using the same method in the preview window that appears when you click the poster in the library list.

Direct upload​

You can upload a separately created image file and designate it as the poster for the corresponding content. This setting must be applied individually for each content.

  1. Click the title of the content whose poster you want to change in the Kollus VOD console > [Library] menu.
  2. Navigate to the [Poster] tab.
  3. Click [Please select a file] to select an image file, then click [Upload].
