The Kollus VOD console allows you to view detailed technical specifications and distribution status of each uploaded content.
Details are provided through the details panel on the right side of the screen, where you can edit titles, change categories, and manage original files.


How to view content details

  1. Go to Kollus VOD console > [Library] or [Channel].
  2. Click the title of the content you want to view, or click [More options (⋮)] > [Overview] on the right side of the content.
  3. View the details through the details panel on the right side of the screen.

Overview tab

The Overview tab controls the technical specifications and general information of the content.

ItemDescription
TitleThe name of the content. Changes are applied only after clicking [Save].
PreviewInspect the actual playback screen for each encoding profile.

You can capture a frame to use as a poster or create bookmarks through the preview player.
CategoryThe category to which the content belongs. Changes are applied only after selecting from the dropdown menu and clicking [Apply].
Upload file keyA unique identifier that distinguishes content within the library. Used for search, API integration, and more.
Transcoding file sizeThe total size of all completed converted files.
DurationThe total playback duration of the content.
Registration dateThe time the content was uploaded.
Modified dateThe time the content information was last modified.
Transcoding dateThe time transcoding was completed.
Original filenameInformation about the uploaded source file. If the content was uploaded after enabling the save original file feature, a download/delete icon will be displayed.

Content status management

You can control the content status through the [More options (⋮)] button at the top of the panel.

  • [Deactivate]: Blocks user access without deleting data. Playback will not occur in the player even if the content is registered in a channel.
  • [Delete]: Permanently removes from the library. Recovery is not possible and the content is immediately excluded from all distribution channels.

Channel tab

The Channel tab allows you to map content to distribution channels and obtain the Share URL and embed code (iframe) to insert into your service.

When content is not registered in a channel

  • In the [Add this content to the channel] menu, click [Add] on the right side of the target channel.

When content is registered in a channel

  • Copy media content key: A unique distribution identifier issued when content is registered to a channel. It is required for generating the Playback URL and API integration.
  • Remove from channel: Deletes the content from that channel. The content is preserved in the library, but the existing media content key expires immediately, invalidating all playback links generated with that key.

Transcoding file management

  • Status monitoring: You can check the transcoding progress status for each profile and the size of generated files.
  • File control: Download individual files locally for inspection, or delete unnecessary high-quality/low-quality files to free up storage space.

Additional transcoding guide

If you need new quality settings or device-specific optimization for already uploaded content, you can perform additional transcoding.

The following two conditions must be met to proceed with additional transcoding.

Additional transcoding procedure
  1. Go to Kollus VOD console > [Library] or [Channel].
  2. Click the title of the content you want to transcode additionally.
  3. Go to the [Transcoding·Playback speed] tab.
  4. Select an encoding profile from the [Please select a profile] menu.
  5. Click [Add (+)] on the right to start the additional transcoding process.

AI Speed

AI Speed uses AI technology to provide clear audio quality without voice distortion (pitch change) even at playback speeds of 2x or higher. It is mainly used to improve learning efficiency in online education and similar contexts.

Subtitle tab

The Subtitle tab allows you to generate AI Subtitles, upload subtitle files directly, and edit subtitle content using the subtitle editor.

  • Upload subtitle: Upload a subtitle file directly.

Poster tab

A poster is an image displayed on the player's standby screen before video playback. You can register a custom image in addition to the default image extracted by the system.

Vr tab

When VR content is uploaded, you can configure the projection type and stereo mode to provide an immersive viewing experience. The VR feature currently works only with Kollus Web Player and Kollus HTML5 Player, and the rendering specifications differ depending on the projection type.
